I was born and raised in Missouri and currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area - specifically, Berkeley - where I raised my son who emptied his part of the nest a couple of years ago and is an EMT and ski patroller at Snowbird in Utah. I am a writer and educator, and I'm also a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, an animal lover, a morning person, an adoptee, and a chocolate chip cookie enthusiast.
